elcome to the Dingley Sports and Recreation Club.  We would like to thank you for enquiring about holding your next function at our club and ask you to consider the following prior to placing a booking.

 With its feeling of space, ample parking and nestled among the ghost-gums of Souter Reserve, the Dingley Sports and Recreation Club makes the ideal venue for your gathering, whether it be a sports-based event, birthday party, band night or whatever you choose.

The Venue
The club comfortably seats 100 people, with an extensive kitchen for the use of our customers and a bar staffed by responsible and well trained personnel provided by the Sports and Recreation Club, for functions requiring alcoholic consumption.  A dance floor is available for use and is normally installed in front of the bandstand area, which provides a gantry system for the use of the band’s lighting and sound requirements.  In addition to this, we provide an internal PA system, including a microphone, microphone stands and lectern.  A full list of features includes:

Duration of Functions
We generally allocate 5 hours for functions (eg. 7pmmidnight), however this can be extended or reduced as required. The bar closes at midnight unless application is made for an extension. Limitations to the ability to serve alcohol and remain opened are based on liquor licensing regulations.

Dress Code
Whilst you are at liberty to specify preferred manner of dress for your guests, the Dingley Sports and Recreation Club requires that guests observe our minimum dress code, which permits neat, casual attire (no torn/obscene clothing or inappropriate footwear such as bare feet or thongs)

 

Entertainment
The choice of entertainment is entirely your own, whether it be background music, live entertainment or a DJ. Our Operations Manager will be happy to liaise directly with your preferred entertainer to co-ordinate entry to the premises and set up.

Audio System
The clubhouse is fully wired for audio should you prefer to use your own selection of background music.

Smoking
Dingley Sports and Recreation Club is a smoke-free venue, however smoking areas are provided on the verandah for the comfort of all guests.  Alcohol may also be consumed on the verandah of the sports club.


Pricing

The Sports and Recreation Club premises can be rented for functions generally commencing at 7PM and concluding at 12PM.  Pricing for standard functions is $300, inclusive of GST.  A $200 bond is payable to cover any theft or damages and will be refunded to the Organiser within one (1) week after assessment of the function.  The number and cost of bar staff and guards for alcohol-related functions is calculated by the Dingley Sports and Recreation Club’s Function Manager, as are any other costs related to a function.

Terms And Conditions
1. As part of our liquor licensing requirements, we require a list of all attendees at the function along with their names and addresses.  Whilst this may seem onerous, we have found that it also assists the booking party in managing the event.  This list is required one week prior to the function.
2. An alcohol-related function requires one (1) guard to be supplied for each 80 persons in attendance at the function or part thereof (for instance, a function of 121 people will require two (2) guards to be booked).  Guards ensure the safety of personnel and property and must be booked through the club, so as to guarantee the professionalism of the guard(s) in attendance.  Cost is approximately $48 per hour prior to midnight, approximately $58 per hour thereafter.
3. Payment of the venue rental and the bond is required one (1) full week prior to the function. 
4. On the day following the function, the club’s Function Manager will assess the function and report back to the Organiser if any or all of the bond monies are required to cover any damage or theft.  Remaining bond money will be refunded to the customer within one (1) week of conclusion of the function.
5. Any pre-payment of alcohol is to be provided prior to the commencement of the function.  Subsequent bulk-payments for alcohol must be organised prior to the function and cannot be negotiated with bar staff during the function.
6. Confirmation of booking is required in writing on the Booking Slip (below) within 14 days of the original reservation.
7. The Organiser is required to conduct the function in an orderly manner, in compliance with Dingley Sports and Recreation Club’s Rules and Liquor Licensing Regulations.
8. Organiser is financially responsible for any damage sustained to the club premises or property during the function.
9. Dingley Sports and Recreation Club does not accept any responsibility for damage to, or loss of, property on its premises nor any injury to any persons. Organiser should arrange for any additional insurances or securities.
10. Organiser is responsible for ensuring any companies (other than Dingley Sports and Recreation Club) used during the event (e.g. photographers, entertainers, etc.) have all current and required insurances.
11. No alcoholic beverages of any kind will be permitted to be brought in to the function by the Organiser or any of their guests.
12. All prices are current and are subject to change without notice.
